The Greene County Medical Reserve Corps unit has been developed to
support public health, assist with mass prophylaxis/vaccination clinics,
and with surge capacity during a public health emergency.
Free training is provided for volunteers.
Suggested training includes Incident Command System courses,
basic, and advanced disaster life support.
The unit allows medical professionals and non-licensed persons to
volunteer.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Greene County Medical Reserve is to act as a
voluntary adjunct to the Greene County Combined Health District and its
cooperating agencies, and to improve the health, safety, and welfare of
Greene County citizens and communities through volunteer health,
medical, and other support activities.

National Incident Management System (NIMS)
compliant courses:
NIMS 700 and ICS 100 required. Deployment Criteria: Participants must agree and sign the MRC Volunteer Handbook (under documents above) and be registered on the state database by clicking on the sign up for Greene County Medical Reserve Corps above.
